Resources for Three Great Feasts

We have created some wonderful opportunities and resources to help us celebrate the three great feasts of Ascension, Pentecost, and Trinity Sunday.

Sabbath Letter

Deacon Cheryl has put together a helpful reflection on Sabbath to help us prepare for celebrating these feasts on Sundays, May 24, May 31, and June 7, and for continuing to hold fast to our day of rest and worship moving forward. Please click here to download this letter.

Art to Help Us Remember

As part of our celebrations and remembrances around Ascension, Pentecost, and Trinity, consider the artwork included in this simple booklet. Molly Ruch has compiled these, along with some helpful questions, to help us consider the amazing stories and truths of these special feast days afresh. Please click here to download this.

Ten Days of Prayer

On Ascension Day, Thursday, May 21, our church will begin ten days of intentional prayer together. Our current time is somewhat like the disciples in Acts 1: we are no longer where we have been and we are yet to be where we may land - in a new “normal”. We are in between. Jesus instructed his disciples to pray and wait in the days between his Ascension and the Spirit’s outpouring on Pentecost. Let’s walk these days like the twelve disciples, in great anticipation, unified for the sake of the church, the world, and the gospel.

In the 10ish mins of guided audio our daily liturgy will be: a welcome, centering prayer, daily theme on the role of the Holy Spirit, scripture reading, wondering, prayers for the church and the world, an ancient "body prayer", and a benediction.
