Prayer and Study Resources
Book of Common Prayer Resources
As Anglicans, we love our beautiful book of prayers and liturgies—the Book of Common Prayer. It is a great rule and guide for regular prayer, worship and study. Below is a variety of downloadable options for your personal use. This is a great resource even if you’re unfamiliar with it; just take time to read through the service and directions and you’ll soon be using it with ease.
The 2019 Book of Common Prayer

Daily Office
Click below on the various Daily Office liturgies you’d like to download.
There’s also a good website, with a phone App, available that sets up the prayer liturgies for you, and can even be shared/linked between friends. That site, with a link to the app, is available here.
Daily Office Lectionaries
Click below for a lectionary (listed Scripture readings). These are designed for use in the Daily Office, or for your own studies.
Daily Office Lectionary - BCP 2019 (This is the standard lectionary included in the 2019 BCP.)
Daily Office Lectionary without Apocrypha - BCP 2019 (This is a modified lectionary that removes Apocrypha readings.)
Daily Office Lectionary - BCP 1979 (This is an older lectionary perhaps more familiar to some users.)
Prayer Bead Guides
Many at Cross have begun using prayer beads to help them focus and remember while praying. These simple bead loops are held during prayer, while we move our fingers from bead to bead, which gives us a wonderful tactile way to stay present to our prayers, or to pull us back to our prayers when our mind begins to wander. (We are not posting new Bead Prayer Guides right now, but below are two simple guides for starting out.)
