God Provides
Pastor Christian helped us dig into a hard passage from Genesis 22 this weekend - the story of Abraham and Issac’s on the mountain. I encourage you to listen, or re-listen to his sermon. The difference between tricking and testing began his teaching and he finished with a prayer that we would see God’s provision in the places we are being tested. The life of faith and this season of Lent causes us to ask, “What is it that we are most clinging to? What is the object of our hope?” Abraham could have clung to Issac as the “child of the promise”, but this story shows that he was holding stronger to the One who made the promise, God himself, and who will be faithful. Below you will see several rams, the drawing prompt, God’s provision for Abraham, Issac and the covenant.
