Jesus Return
In Advent we celebrate the King who has come and we wait for Jesus’ return in glory. It seems right to say Advent has “all the feelings”! Things are not as they should be, and we echo our faithful foremothers and fathers and our brothers and sisters repeating again in our time, “Come, Lord Jesus Come," and we wait. How long O Lord? Mark 13 was our gospel reading this week and Father Pete invited images of Christ’s return. Here we find the answer to our question and a charge - keep awake. May these images invite our longing and bring hope.
Mark 13:32 -33 But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on gaurd, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come.
